Draft for legal review before launch
Terms of service
FixReports provides automated checks of public websites and written guidance on fixing what they find (the "Service"): a free scan and paid fix reports. By using the Service you agree to these terms.
What the Service is and isn't
Every report describes the results of automated tests at the time they ran, with suggested changes. Automated testing detects only part of all problems in each area. The Service is not legal advice, does not create an attorney-client relationship, and does not certify or guarantee compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the European Accessibility Act or any other law. We do not guarantee search rankings, traffic, sales, conversion rates, email delivery or the security of your website.
The reports
- Accessibility Fix Report ($249): WCAG barriers, a keyboard journey test and code to fix each one. Automated tests find part of all accessibility issues. Not legal advice; no compliance guarantee.
- EAA Readiness Report ($199): Where your website stands against the European Accessibility Act's technical standard. A technical readiness assessment, not legal advice; applicability depends on facts about your business.
- SEO Fix Report ($99): Technical SEO errors that stop pages being indexed or shown well in search. Covers technical SEO only. No ranking or traffic guarantee.
- Performance Fix Report ($79): What makes your pages slow on phones, measured, with the fixes. Lab results vary between runs; field data comes from Google's Chrome UX Report when available.
- Conversion Report ($149): Things on your website that can stop people buying, signing up or getting in touch. Recommendations from page checks, not from your sales or sign-up data. No sales or conversion guarantee.
- Website Security Report ($99): Configuration risks we can detect safely from the outside. Passive checks only: no attacks, no probing of hidden paths. Not a penetration test.
- Email Deliverability Report ($49): SPF, DKIM and DMARC: whether your emails can be trusted by inboxes. Checks your public DNS. It can't see your sending reputation or message content.
Orders of two or more reports for the same scan receive the bundle discount shown at checkout. Each report covers the website address you scanned.
How the tests interact with your website
The free scan only loads pages, as a visitor's browser would, and looks up your domain's public certificate and DNS records. Some reports also run a keyboard journey in a separate browser session. On an online store it opens a product, adds one item to a cart and moves through the cart page; it never presses checkout, enters checkout or payment pages, creates an order, or types personal or payment details, and the test cart is abandoned when the session ends. On other websites it only follows ordinary links to a key page and moves focus through your main call to action and form fields; it never presses the call to action, types into a field or submits a form, sign-up, booking or message, and only page requests (GET) are allowed to leave that session.
The Website Security Report is passive: it reads what any visitor can see (certificate, response headers, cookies, scripts and public DNS records). It does not attack your website, try passwords, probe hidden paths or bypass any protection, and it is not a penetration test.
Your responsibilities
You may only scan websites you own or are authorized to test. You are responsible for reviewing and testing any code, setting or DNS change before applying it, and for keeping backups.
Payments
Reports are sold as one-time digital products. Our reseller and merchant of record processes the payment and issues your receipt. See the refund policy for refunds.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the report concerned.
