How the tools work
Every tool runs on the same scanner. Some read one page plus your site files, such as robots.txt and the sitemap; others test the page you enter and up to four key pages chosen for your kind of site. Because the engine is shared, one scan can answer several tools, and results from a scan of the same address in the last hour may be reused instead of loading your site again.
The checks are passive and have limits. Pages load as they would for a visitor, in a browser that identifies itself as FixReportsScanner. We never submit forms, sign up, book, buy or attack anything, and we don’t get around logins, CAPTCHAs or bot protection, so pages behind them can’t be tested. Automated checks find part of the problems in each area, and every tool lists what it can’t check.
Before a scan you confirm that you own or manage the site. We never publish an individual site’s results: they are shown to you, at a private link.
