EAA Readiness Report
Since 28 June 2025 the European Accessibility Act has applied to e-commerce and certain other consumer services in the EU. This report helps you check whether it applies, maps your website’s failures to EN 301 549, the standard used to show conformity, and drafts the accessibility information the Act expects you to publish.
- Applicability self-check
- Failures mapped to EN 301 549
- Draft accessibility information
What we check
Applicability self-check
The questions that decide whether the Act likely applies to your website, including the exemption for micro-enterprises providing services. Many sites that only give information are outside it.
EN 301 549 mapping
Each failing WCAG success criterion mapped to its clause 9 requirement, with the pages and elements affected.
WCAG 2.2 additions
Criteria that are new in WCAG 2.2 are listed separately, since the edition of EN 301 549 cited for the Act may not include them yet.
Keyboard journey
Whether a keyboard-only visitor can get from the home page to the checkout button on a store, or to the main call to action on other sites.
Items needing review
What automated tests flag but can’t decide, with how to check each one by hand.
What you get
- A gap list ordered by impact on visitors
- Clause-by-clause mapping to EN 301 549
- Draft accessibility information for EU customers

- A PDF to share with your team or counsel
How the report is made
- 1
We reuse your Accessibility Fix Report’s deep scan if you have one, or test up to 20 more pages from your sitemap.
- 2
Each failure is mapped to the EN 301 549 clause that covers it, and the keyboard journey is run in a separate session.
- 3
The draft accessibility information is generated from what we found, ready for you to complete.

Questions about this report
Does the EAA apply to businesses outside the EU?
It covers services provided to consumers in the EU, so a business selling to EU consumers from elsewhere may be in scope. Applicability depends on your facts; check with counsel.
Does it apply to every website?
No. It covers e-commerce and certain consumer services such as banking, passenger transport, e-books and electronic communications. A site that only gives information, or sells only to businesses, is often outside it; public-sector sites fall under the Web Accessibility Directive instead.
Is there an exemption for small businesses?
Micro-enterprises providing services (fewer than 10 employees and an annual turnover or balance sheet of no more than €2 million) are exempt from the service requirements. The report’s self-check walks through it.
What is EN 301 549?
The European standard for accessibility of ICT. Its web clause, clause 9, incorporates the WCAG success criteria, which is why failures are mapped to it.
Should I buy it together with the Accessibility Fix Report?
The Accessibility Fix Report gives the code for each fix; this report maps the same failures to the EU standard. Together they qualify for the bundle discount.
